Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“VRChat is constantly evolving. We’re working tirelessly on the core platform to expand features and tools that allow for deeper creation and enjoyment of VRChat. Our community is building new worlds and avatars every day, each more imaginative than the last. We have big dreams for Social VR and we want to be at the right level of completion before leaving Early Access. While we’ve not set a definitive timeline on that yet, we promise to keep everyone updated with our progress as we journey ahead together.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“VRChat will ultimately become a complete Social VR creation experience available across all platforms. We plan on making sharing, content creation, and streaming an effortless collaborative effort from within VR. We are continuously adding to our app and SDK with more building blocks and features every single day. Our excitement fuels our work, and we can’t wait to enhance VRChat even further! What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“Even now VRChat provides a highly enjoyable and immersive experience which we wholeheartedly encourage you to explore, even in this preliminary phase. Come hang out, play games, and connect with other users! Many of our essential systems are now operational, including social tools, full-body avatars, interactive virtual worlds, and robust content creation tools. Already, there are hundreds of unique worlds to discover, with new ones popping up every day thanks to our Unity SDK.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“VRChat is currently free and intends to remain so for the foreseeable future. We cherish our community and wish to ensure that everyone can join in on the fun without any financial barriers.”

“We are fundamentally shaped by our community. While we create the platform, it’s our users who bring it to life with their creativity and passion.
